Meet Josh

Josh Stinton - Outspire founder

Hello!

My name is Josh Stinton and I am passionate about ideas, people, and how to get the two together to do great things. I come from a "design thinking" facilitation background,  crafting environments and experiences for people to learn from. I now do this through means of adventures, events, facilitated consultation sessions and design workshops.

Outspire sees me putting myself to the test in demanding physical challenges around the world to raise awareness and support for small charities and the stories they have to tell.

I have had the good fortune of working with some incredibly smart, inspiring and motivational people along the way. My experience covers many industries - all with a focus on now to bring big ideas to life. From my role on the production team for TEDxSydney held at the Sydney Opera House to designing and delivering business design workshops around the world, I have learned a great deal about how to bring theory into practice in order to create meaningful projects.

I have a passion for public speaking and sharing my experiences and vision for helping people achieve their goals, overcome obstacles, and being the best that they can be. Having spoken at TEDx, Ignite Sydney, given a University graduation ceremony speech and various other talks - I love addressing crowds with stories of my own experience.

An American expat since 2005, I relocated to Australia to complete my Bachelors (international business and marketing) and Masters (banking and finance regulation) degrees at Macquarie University, where I now hold a position of Board Director. Passionate about charity, 2012 saw me winning Project Future’s top honor, being crowned the charity’s “Stella Fella” title and national ambassador for anti-sex trafficking. I now call Norway home but my work takes me all over the globe.

Please reach out if you would like to discuss Outspire, adventure mentoring, speaking engagements, charity work, Monty Python movies, etc.
